1. Assess the area, raise the alarm if required, and put on appropriate PPE.
2. Stop the source of the spill if it is safe to do so.
3. Use absorbent socks to contain and surround the spill, preventing spread.
4. Cover the contained spill with pads, working from the outside in.
5. Allow absorbents to work, then lift and replace until the surface is dry.
6. Place used materials in the supplied disposal sacks, secure with ties, and dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
